Go to your local war veterans hospital or war vets society and hang out with them. I swear - i absoluely promise you - it will change your life...you may even continue to visit them when your community service is up. They have absolutely insane stories that for the first time, they want to share with youth, because they don't want the importance of their role in WWII to die when they do.
my high school requires about 150 hours in the four years. I did about 100 at a preschool and it was really cool. At first its mad awkward, but once you start to get to know the kids and teachers it gets to be pretty cool. You wont regret it if you do it at a daycare/preschool or something.
