I think I'm getting concussion prone like eric lindros. that sucks eh? I keep wiping out and seeing stars. I was wondering if any of you have usefull information. Like do some helmets work any better than others? like are the big motocross style seth morrison ones any more protective than others? Its not even from just hitting my brain on a rail or anything, just some wipeouts give me whiplash and I see stars. any ideas?

ya I got a boeri too. Maybe it doesn't fit right. how are helets supposed to fit? steetbike helmets are supposed to be so damn tight that your cheeks are a little squished. are ski helmets anything like that?

wear a mouthguard. may sound strange, but it actually reduces the chances of getting a concussion by 60% or something, maybe more. plus it saves your teeth from chipping.
so long as the helmet isnt cracked, fits to your head and doesnt wobble around, it should help out alot

lol, half the time when i fall things change colors. But i wear a helmet so its never gone beyond that

changing colours, i think thats just the blood shooting around in your head or something.
but they should fit snugly to yourhead, not excessivley tight, but not too loose

i always end up crashing bad when I don't have my helemt on. once when i whiplashed on some great eastern ice it looked like fireworks or something. I think any quality helmet helps though

i dunno dude, i think they rock, you forget stuff, go unconcious, i actually couldnt see for about 3 minutes after i woke up, you arent allowed to sleep, drink, or do any sports. they are the most fun ever!

i have the fuse from giro it is good i think that it would be a good helmet for you and you can get it with tuneups so that you can plug an i-pod or something in and listen to music as you ride

Concussions suck bad I got one about 3 weeks ago on my bike i tried to do a stair case, and i ate shit plus i had a little pink bell helmet on. The next day i had to play in a football game and my fucking head hurt so bad during the game it was not even funny i should of told the trainer but i didnt cuz i wanted to play so bad.

ya, learning how to fall is a big thing in skiing, but concussions you cant help, if youre gonna hit yer head, yer gonna hit it. i have had my share, like 3 er so, and it just sucks. my second one was real bad, got knocked out cold, had to go to the hospital and shit, had to get woke up every 2 hours, and ya. shitty.

the worst part is when you have had six, like me, and you have to worry about it all the time. so now i don't hit my head to often but when i do it's almost gauranteed that i will get a concusion no matter how hard.

after my concussion, i'd see stars if i was doing physical stuff for about 2 weeks after. I'm told they take like at least 6 mos. for a bad one to fully heal. I'm fine now, except for the whiplash, thats permanent. If I get in a car accident, I'll blame the whiplash on the other driver.

yah, the worst concussion i got, i had really bad whiplash, lost vision temporarily, memory loss, i had to go to the hospital. plus when my head whipped back i bit my tongue. my friends said there was blood all over the snow. somehow i skied down to the infirmary and checked myself in.
at the hospital they gave me a pamphlet 'so you got a concussion' or something like that, but it said you couldnt drink alcoholic bevrages for 48 hours. the problem was that it was december 29th that i got the concussion. so i waited a good 50 hours before i started drinking, people thought i was dead. somebody came every 20 mins to see if i was alive

I think the worst one I got was wakeboarding. I dunno how I did it wakeboarding but I did. I cleared the wake and my front tip hit first and *smack*. the next thing I knew I was eating breakfast and I was soooo confused. I didn't know where I was or why I was all wet and in my bathing suit or where the rooms were in the house (even though i'd been there a million times). it was wierd. but no one noticed anything. apparently I wakebarded back to the house and was walking around talking and stuff but I don't remember a thing.

i got a 3rd degree concussion last year it sucked i was in the hospitol for a week, the doctors were taken back by the fact that i didnt break my neck and back, i had to wear one of those gay as neck and back braces for like a month, or atleast i was supposed to, it sucked ass



i cant describe the vibe i get when i drive by 6 people and 5 i hit
