alright guys i might be going out west this year and i dont know the best places to go. I was leaning towards snowbird cuz i hear its insane but are there any other places i should know about?
If you ski park, and you like variety come to summit county.
If you like core pow riding, Snowbird or Jackson, or crested butte would be for you.
If you like to party... Cali? I dont know anything about skiing in cali...
it's all good out there, if you hit slc you can have a bunch of sick mountains all pretty close by and utah gets sick pow there's also whistler which is insane then there's tahoe which is also fun, then there's vail which is flat, aspen which is good, and some other smaller co mountains that are good you have mt. bachelor in oregon jackson, wy which is unbelievable
Tahoe is fun for the partying. Personal preference, I'ld way rather spend my time in Mammoth.
By west, how far west are you talking, cause we usually refer to Colorado as going East, Cause well, there isn't much East of CO to talk about.
Solitude in Utah is fantastic and way less crowded than I thought it would be. Big Sky is amazing if you don't mind being cold, possibly being in an avalanche, and fresh powder pretty much every day. I've never had more fun skiing trees than in Copper. Big Mountain offers a great bang for the buck.
Tahoe for parties for sure but if you want to ski go to mammoth, you'll love it. Everything is there so you can ski big mountain and then park 5 minutes later! Check out Hood or Baker though. A lot of pros come from Hood two right off the top of my head are Sammy Carlson and Eric Pollard. Schweitzer and Silver mountain, Idaho. Schweitzer has an amazing park!
