Salomon Suspect 181/Line Anthem 178
I am 6'1 tall, normal weight. I do almost 100% park. I began skiing last year, so I am not really good. Last year I used Salomon Foil 166. They were a way too short. Now I need a more steady ski.
I have narrowed it down to Line Anthem and Salomon Suspect. Both are supposed to be great skis, right? But which one should I choose? Is Suspect a stiff and heavy ski, or a playful and light ski?
And the binding: Should I choose Marker Griffon or Salomon STH12?
And btw, any one knows where I can buy Salomon Suspect 181? Haven't found any websites.
Well if youre 6'1'' then the 178s are probably gonna be too small for you and youre almost definitely gonna want something higher than a DIN 12 binding. Im assuming you'll be center mounting if its a 100% park ski youre lookin for right?
"Anyone else have phenoms?? Its like having half a goldfish bowl stuck to your head. YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING!!"
Yeah, I am looking for a 100% park ski and I am pretty sure I will center mount. I don't think I will feel much difference between 178 and 181, but you think the Anthems are too small? So you would suggest the Suspect? What about AR6? They are also 181.
I am about 170 pounds, and this winter I had 8 DIN. That suited me great. I am not hitting huge jumps or sick rails. So I am pretty sure I am going to continue with a DIN 12 binding.
I know guys who are 6 3 that ski the anthems, I'm almost 6 2 and im lookin into gettin some Anthems. Its a matter of preference i think, but in my opinion Anthems are fine for you. I have 14 din bindings but 12's should work cause you wont be throwin huge stuff. If you can get it for the same price, get the higher din though
