08-09 volkl wall vs. 08-09 line anthem

my freind merrick is in need of new skis
he is like 5'10 is and 180
he likes the anthem better but will they be too soft?
he said he wants around a 185 and the anthem is only up to 179
and i believe the wall makes a 185-------any advice

Walls come out short. 185 is really like 182 so length isn't a big diffrerence.

Walls are stiffer than average, would be better for big jumps but not as buttery.

Anthems might be a little unstable on bigger landings. I'm 6'4/185 and had a couple of runs on Anthems just on small stuff. I liked them but if I hit huge kickers a lot they wouldn't be my choice. Very fun though and felt nice in the air.

i dont think he would be hitting anything THAT big, and he said he wants to get much better at butters, thats why he liked the anthems, they wont be too soft for him though will they?

He weighs to much for anthems, they will be giant noodles. Go with the walls

Go for them. They weren't way too soft for me and I'm heavier than him. I wouldn't want to hit more than a 30ft jump on them but otherwise they felt really fun.

Go with an AR6 181 for something just a little stiffer but still soft.
