So I recently purchased the Samsung Instinct from the Sprint Network and have been able to thoroughly look through it and view online comparisons to the Instinct and the iPhone. The features on the Instinct may not be offered on the iPhone such as tv, microSD card for larger external storage, a favorites screen, gps (before the iPhone 3G came out) and others. After having my 2 year contract end I was able to snag this phone for $129.99 which also is the price if you sign for a 2 year agreement plan, compared to the $450 you would have to pay if your in the middle of your contract. It is not as tough as the iPhone with a plastic screen and what seems to be a rubberized backing but sure is a bang for your buck. This phone is being compared to the current iPhone which has been out for quite a while and has had numerous updates, so if we were to compare the iPhone upon its release to the Instinct for the amount of time the Instinct has been on the market for then it would be a fair fight. Sprint also requires a plan that costs less than the iPhones and has 2 options, the basic which limits you to only some of the features or the unlimited plan which allows you to browse the web, watch tv, use all messaging, listen to the radio, gps, etc.
