First of all, its called an accelerometer. It is part of the iPhone (and iPod touch). It is what controls the tilting features on pictures, coverflow, google maps, safari (and the keyboard in safari), BUT DOES NOT TILT THE KEYBOARD IN EMAIL OR SMS. That people, is what is the big deal. I could care less to type a URL with a vertical or horizontal keyboard, because it doesn't take very long. But, if I'm writing a long email to a client, I'd like to have a bigger keyboard so I'm not screwing up every two seconds. Yes I know the software that corrects it is pretty good, but that's just it, its pretty good, it doesn't hold a candle to a blackberry keyboard.
Secondly, yes of course the iPhone syncs with iCal. And yes, it does sync with Office Outlook (but screws up meeting invitations). But you can't have both at the same time without MobileMe. Let me say that again, unless you have MobileMe, the iPhone only supports one Calendar. This is a problem for a lot of people who want to use the iPhone for business because they don't care about MobileMe, but when they sync their iPhone at home, iCal erases Outlook's calendar, thus fucking up the work appointments/meetings on BOTH the iPhone and the work PC's Outlook.
So for the last time, iPhone + business support = FAIL. Now, mind you, all of these issues (plus cut/copy/paste) should be able to be fixed with a software update, so hopefully Apple fixes these problems soon.
