whats worse is that China's government executed 1,177 people (compared to 66 in the US for reference) for non violent crimes including pimping, living violations, and selling unsafe food products. All of them were put to death without trial

the fact is, China is a terrible place to live with a government that obviously doesn't give a shit about it. The olympics should be boycotted, period.

I've ate dog, horse, cobra, live shrimp, monkey's brains, chicken feet, ox tail, monk fish, goat, and a lot of other things, what have you ate? hamburgers? Why don't you become more aware of what other cultures consider acceptable instead of assuming that what you do is the only right way. those dogs are bred specifically to be used in food, just like cows here are bred specifically to be slaughtered. They aren't eating yorkies, pomeranians, or german shepherds. broaden your perspective.

yea thats fucked up but have you ever been there?  have you seen what its like.  so many people are so poor its so sad.  you cant even imagine what its like even in the citys like beijing, the most developed ones, and behind alot of the shops theres houses where multiple generations of familys live.
now they are changing and they are producing more goods for the foriegn markets and doing everything else that we went through in the industrial revolution they are blowing up right now. 

but for you to say shit about how the olympics should be boycotted because of things that have been hapening for years and is a part of their culture is just narrow minded.  how do you think the hindu people feel about us eating their sacred cow like its our job.  yea its wierd for us to think they eat dog but realize they have a complete different culture

i'm pretty sure everyone here missed the point.

the problem is the fact that they are putting domestic and nondomestic animals in close proximity to one another.

this allows disease to jump species and shit like sars happened.

Yeah fucking note how some of them are domestic animals meaning some are stolen from households etc. to be taken there. How would you feel if you had a dog that was taken to be tortured then eaten?

I just dont understand how a human could be so cruel to other animals. I almost gaged when that guy was thrashing the cat around. And how they stuffed all those dogs into tiny crates. Thats ridiculous. No animal should be treated like that. Not even cows.

yeah cows get a much nicer life than these dogs that are stuffed into crates like lobsters. The south koreans and chinese people slaughter the dogs in front of the others too.
