tell me what you think? It's based off a piece of art at my school with a stereo that's been broken with a music stand protruding out the top of it with musical notes around it (made from cardboard and wire) but I thought I could use it was a cool metaphor...

Unique
Beginnings from endings, order from chaos
The diamond in the rough, the pig sty with the prize winner
Old combined with new, the old will stand taller with more intricacies than ever
The stereo and the stand, both equal weight in hand
Both used to play music one still can be used
Used and abused but never trashed,
The stand is Ever-standing with the brilliance of musicians
… Ever is such a long time for such a small word
But the size doesn’t define what it can represent
Lyrics
Beginning with a single word, ending with a complex idea
Like the drizzle of rain, the drop drips diligently
In hip-hop, the beat continues continuously
Baroque boasts slow bowing
Yet through speakers they are both sound waves that reach mindless ears
It’s the end of an era some people might say
But the beginning of another is coming our way
Importance is a matter of perspective
Just like the writing on the wall
The ears of generations past heard but didn’t listen
Clichés were formed, lives were changed around them
But ignorance reigns still.
What came first, the music or the sound?
Broken stereo with decorated stand
The elder instrument clearly has the upper hand
