Click for larger imageits a point and shoot, but i don't know if it's decent. An amateur photographer uses it and got some sweet sunset and waterfall pics. Any input on this device?

its not the camera that matters, its what your take the pictures of

ok well i guess the camera does sort of matter. but this camera is good, it will suit you well

best thing to find out would be how good the AF is for action, and shutter lag. from there everything else you are looking for are as many custom functions as possible

honestly man, if your just starting out just buy a simple camera, dont go spending 600+ on a camera if you dont know how to use it, dont get me wrong you can still buy an ACE camera for under 6 hundy but just look around. It's true though its more about the photographer and the skills with the camera and photoshop than the camera, i almost won that photo contest on facebook with a picture i took with a 120$ digital camera
