alright so i didnt get enough responses in the media and arts forum so im going to try here.
so basically I want a camcorder for camp this summer although im pretty low on funds. What I am looking for is pretty much something under $250 no more. I have been looking around and have somewhat of an idea what I want but im pretty much an idiot.

basically I want something that will be reliable/qualityish, be decent for skiing with, and have semi decent video quality.

I have narrowed it down to a few and this is what I am thinking of:

Canon, end of thread.

Has a better imaging sensor (1.07mb vs 680k) which will be your color and quality, so more kb the better, 1007 > 680. Plus i think canon makes a better camera than samsung. One thing i noticed on the samsung is that it says you can changes exposure,focus, whitebalance and shutter speed (manual settings) but the canon does not specify, and having those manual settings is a very good thing if you know how to use them.

So the samsung is more a custom camera with a lower image sensor, could work well on cloudy days if you know how to adjust the settings. But the canon is a more basic camera but with a better image senor so colors will be better and better quality, but i dont even know if 680k to 1007k will even be very noticeable. I find it hard to believe that the canon camera wouldnt have the ability to use manual setting though, i fell that it could do the same but it doesnt say.

I said this before looking at the detail more carefully and now i am not sure what i would pick, so ignore that, not end of thread.

get the cannon, even if you have to run it on auto mode, the sensor will make the picture look alot better
