So, I actually had a dream about this trick the other night
once you grab with the hand that's the closest to the back binding, you release the boot.
do something cool with the ski. i.e. sack tap
then put the boot half way into the binding. when you stomp the trick, you basically click back in.
you'd need a binding that's super easy to release.
And you might want to practice at a water ramp for a while.

All you would need to do is set one binding's DIN super low and then take the breaks off of it so that if your foot isn't pressing down too hard it won't just make the ski stick.

that's what i was thinking.
you also wouldn't want a binding that's got too large of a heel piece.
you wouldn't want a rossi for example.
maybe one of the cheep plastic salomon ones.

I had a dream about a trick where you do a big jump with a rail at the end (kind of jump where you do like 630 on or stuff). But when in the air, I took off both skis, did the rail with only boots on (rollerblade style) and then snap back my skis on.

Ya I know, it's impossible.

if people actually started doing that, there would be so many broken bindings. just think about people comeing down and landing a little wrong and destroying their binding

at water ramps u should get a ski with the DIN of 1 and do a truck driver but pull really hard so it pops off and then put it back on! that would be sick

i don't know you would have to crank your din for it though, there would be so much tork coming off the lip like that while  leaning foreward to grab your tips, and a DE would not end well while trying that.
