so i've been working my ass off all summer here in chile and i finally bought myself a pair of spk pro boots for 360 dollars... can't wait to get them!!
I went to Chile this summer on a ski trip. I skied Valle Nevado and Portillo. Cool mountains with lots of snow for a south pole winter. They even had a decent park at Valle Nevado with a good size halfpipe. It was better than what my local mountain(Avila, Qc) offers me park-wise even after 3 month of snow fo sure....
And as I noticed, in Chile, skiing is pretty much only for the rich and famous...
well here in chile we don't have boot fitters like i know more about skis and boots than them they just try too sell anything to you without knowing anything they don't even ski sometimes its incredible... also the options that i have over here suck like the best i can get are some soft racing boots or sometimes you ave the luck that they get salomon foils in a shop and they are 800 dollars or something... so if they don't fit i'll sell them to anyone overhere for like 400 and recover my money... everything overhere is like twice as much than in usa last year i got some thalls and they gave me a discount cause of sponsorship and they were 300 but usually they are 800 to a regular customer...
