so i have to write a 5 paragraph essay about a controversy,
ive decided to write about legalizing marijuana, from a pro-weed perspective.
the way we have to write it is in chunks so:
1 chunk=
concrete detail.
2 commentaries about said detail.
im thinking the ideas for my 3 body paragraphs are:
economics
comparison with other common legal drugs e.g. tobacco/alcohol
social benefits from legalization, less kids in jail, better parent/kid relationships etc.
thanks

I'd probably stay away from weed for a school paper, it doesn't look good. But that's just me.

Thats pretty dope man, I'm in the same boat, at my school we have to write 8-12 pages of a topic of our choice and debate it Nd on top of that we have to make 100 note cards...it sucks ass, 45 precent of our grade. Anywhom a good idea is skiing vs snowboarding, really broad and yea dude you got the rest

"Why we should legalize marijuana"
Chunk 1: Reasons why we should
Concrete detail: "Uh, have you ever smoked weed?"

Give us some of your other ideas for your body paragraphs. You don't have to follow the 5 paragraph essay form. In my experience, teachers prefer variety in essay styles.
Anyways, I like your 3 first idea's but what sort of essay is this? Is this supposed to be an analytical essay or an informational essay. I want to see the prompt.

No choice? Did your teacher specifically say, "Write a 5-paragraph essay on a topic of your choice"
Anyways, if you must only use 3, then keep the ones you have, in reverse order of how they are listed now.
