Line's putting out some carving skis this year to expand their market and consumer base. it will be good for them image wise to be seen as a serious ski company that will be around for years. They need the extra flow to finally release the reactor binding. It would have been ready for this year but there were a few complications with the production team and SARS I believe that put them back, I think that's what it was anyways.

not directly, but in whatever china-town that they have some of their things running there was a SARS dilema and they had to shut things down there. I read it in a J Levinthal interview a little while ago.

Man! They have like at least 5 carving skis they are putting out andf like 4 different versions of the reactor binding. That is nuts.

they're not putting out the reactor binding because it is currently a piece of shit. their intention is to have it be the safest binging. so far they've succeeded in having it be the most dangerous one. none of their team even wore it last season.

i have the pants and i love them. they are really thin, but are still warm. and they definitely dont soak through. a chocalate milk busted open in my pocket. and i didnt notice until a went to take it out.

phrosty, why do want to rip on line? -a company that has done as much or more than anyone to progress our sport. innovative skis like the FIRST backcountry twintip (ostness dragon years ago) sponsorships for newschool riders only, donations to ns comps...
you're on k2s and karhus, right? how many shitty, cheap women's carver skis does k2 produce? and didn't you know that kahru and line have a close production relationship. line actually makes the karhu jak which is simply a tele version of the mothership w/ dif graphics.

its good that they arent making pants. seriously they were crap. you can get some ones that are actually waterproof, more comfortable, look better, more durable and for cheaper at your local shop.

i agree with monatana skier. line has een the major force behind newschool skiing. they get criticized for only being good in the park... well they make equal tiwn and tail height, only sponser newschool skiers, and are adriving force behind twin tips. you expect a great ski all mountain? no thats not what the aimed for. they werent goin to try to make a twin tip and have ti be great all mountain. some people need to just wake upi and stop ripping on line simply because they have never ridden them. ANd no i dont ride line, i have the trouble makers
