Nikon is the worst motherfucking company on earth. I sent my camera in for repairs in May, it is now september, they returned it and did nothing they said they couldn't fix it because it was purchased in Malaisa. Hmm I've never been to malasia, and the Best Buy I bought it from was not located in Malasia. and Because Best Buy is also a very fucking lame company I am now out $500. I'm gona put the camera on ebay and sell it as new. I will never again buy a single product from Nikon, or best buy for that matter.

Never send the camera to the company. Just take it to a local camera shop or send it to a third party camera repairing place. Nikons are sweet cuz you can use old ass lenses on the new cameras. Saves money.

I took it to the local shop, they were like we need a part, after a month of waiting for the part they sent it to nikon. there is only one nikon authorised repair place in Denver. Fuck Nikon. and fuck that repair shop too.

You obviously bought a grey market Camera...any good shop will let you know the difference between a grey market and a US camera. You dont get the USA warranty for a grey market camera. Grey market cameras can cost a lot less but are not worth it if it broke. Take it back to best buy and make a big stink about them selling it to you. Its against the law to do that with out informing you thats it grey market. If they say something about it, tell them that you are going to contact the better business bureau on them...that may help.

wow i am sorry to hear that. i recently sent my nikon cool pics to my local camera shop and from there they sent it to nikon to fix. it was all covered under warrenty and all i had to pay was $10 for shipping. after 3 weeks i got my camera back from nikon good as new

Ya, you bought a grey market camera. That really sucks, but it is more best buys fault than Nikon.
