So there's been many threads about mount fuckups and whatnot, so sorry for this additional one. When I got my skis back, I was happy to see the tech got the binding position right in relation to center after hearing many stories. I had a line drawn out and told the shop specific instructions to measure out -3 from true center if my measurements were off. They did that, and measured out a more correct line where they mounted my bindings, which was fine with me. Cool.
Now for the shit part. just a few minutes ago, I noticed that the bindings weren't at the middle of the skis. What the fuck. The bindings are mounted more towards the left edge on both skis, so there is more width on the right side of the binding than the left. How does this fucking happen? I really don't want another mount in my skis, will it really matter/affect actual skiing? It's definitely noticeable just by eyeing it and not just slightly off. My skis are on their second mount, would there be a chance in some sort of reimbursement in the form of skis with the shop?
Also, I think there might be a problem with forward pressure on my binders right now cause when I butter around, one of my skis pops off. It's happened a few times and it's always the same ski. I think it might be forward pressure and not DIN since it's only one ski. And besides it shouldn't take too much retention to keep me in when I'm stationary. Can anyone tell me how to check that on fks 120s?
