last thread got created before i finished it so heres round 2.
So i gave up on my hopes of getting rid of my bc's in exchange for some hellbents or ep sheerly out of my lack of money. Now ive decided to get a new pair of park skis because cheaper, and i just realized im skiing and progressing park alot more this year.
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 190 but lets pretend im *175* because i like my skis alot softer and not that long, and i dont want to deal with the bs about "oh a 180 or bigger will be fine for you its what the pros ride, plus your big" blah blah blah. PLUS im in the process of losing weight now that footballs over.
Ability: III
Length: 174 to under 180 i ahve had experience with a 180(currently riding as park ski)
Flex: SOFT yet responsive
Location: Mt. Hood Meadows plus either colorado or utah where i plan to go to school next year
Basically im looking for a SOFT yet responsive ski (Soft but with LOTS of pop) and LIGHT as possible. this may end up being my comp ski, but not for sure. looking for a slopestyle ski that can handle pipe rather than pipe ski that can handle slopestyle
possible skis:
2008 Armada ar6 176 - felt very responsive with hand flexing yet still soft. seem very durable. whats the weight like?
2008 Line Invader 178 - very soft, but seemed a little less responsive. Also a little worried about durability?
2008 Line Anthem 178 - just a wide invader?
2008 Salomon Thruster 181? - Seem almost perfect to what i want but the damn length. thought about it and dont really want the stiffness of the spk either
2008 4frnt STL 177 - havent heard much at all. seem buttery soft, but hows the responsiveness? and durability?
I would really appreciate it if only people who have ridden or have first hand experience with a specific ski post about it.
I know its alot to read but thank you very much for the help.
