so i know this girl, we're really close, don't official go out, whatever.
i wanna get her something awesome. she is way too hard to get jewelry. clothing is also almost impossible. i'm really good friends with her closest 4 friends, none of them could pick out something she really likes in either of those terms. last year i had her pick out some pajamas and i got her a giftcertificate.
she goes to school in upstate newyork, its cold as fuck. she gave me a bathrobe last year, i kinda wanna give her something that she can "cuddle up with" as gay as that sounds, but something that'll remind her of me when she's at school freezing. i figure a dope blanket would be awesome (hey, i could use one too). anyways, i was wondering if you guys and gals on NS think this is a good present, and where i can get a super awesome blanket. price is really no problem as long as its under like 200.
and i wanna get her something small that has sentimental value, but i'll figure that out.
whacha guys, and probably more importantly, girls think of this.

sentimental? you should make it yourself, and you can make a pretty sick blanket for cheap, and easy.
just take a couple sheets of fleece fabric and trim all the edges evenly, one on top of the other. then fringe the edges of both sheets. after you do that all you have to do is tie each top fringe to each bottom fringe.
voila warm cozy sentimental polar fleece blankie.

wouldn't it fold over if you didn't do something to the middle of the fabric?

what do you mean fold over?
you dont have to do anything to the middle of the fabric. at least when watched my ex make them she didnt do anything to the middle and it came out perfect

i think i'm bouta do that. i'm bouta get brown and gold fleece fabric, like 2 layers of each. then fringe them up or whatever. then put a small patch in the corner that matches the fabric and has sentimental (gay) meaning. she'll love it. thanks guys.

wow, the whole idea of making a blanket for a present is such a bomb idea, I'm seriously gonna use it as well. I got my girlfriend 2 tickets to see CHICAGO at the palace theater by us, and I think I'll put them in an envelope folded up in the blanket.

Meh, the fleece tied fringe has been done. Try and make it a little more awesome somehow.

get some iron-on clothing transfer sheets....the ones that let you print something on your computer then iron it onto clothing
then iron on a full-size picture of you onto a body pillow
or just your face onto a normal size pillow

well i haven't done that. and no one i know has done that within any of my friends or people i'm even acquainted with. the real key is the patch on the corner because it does mean more than just a patch or a heart or something like that, but hopefully she'll appreciate.
unless you have any ideas, i'm definitely still checkin shit out.
