My friends 176? JO pros are very comparable to my 179 Bluehouse MRs, we have the exact same bindings so they are taken out of the equation.

i'm pretty sure the 168 spks were the lightest salomons last time i looked and i just got some 179 bluehouses which are quite a bit fatter and 11 cm longer and they weigh the same as far as i can tell

basically, bluehouses are light and they are a small company so buy them?

yes.  and the mr's ski sooooo well, it's insane.  crazy amounts of pop and lots of stability for their relatively soft flex.

I went skiing on my JO's for the first time today, they are so light it is amazing. It actually took some getting used to after skiing on Public Enemies last year. Such a dope ski
