whenever I public speak I always get nervous at first and I just act like I'm not but for this I really can't be nervous and I need to get into it. Do any musicians out there have any tips on how to not get stage fright and remember the lyrics?

Well, i know how you feel buddy. Just remeber that it is your first time...kinda like kissing...no one is automatically good at it, how ever just relax and go back to your garage days. your playing the same song or speaking the same thing..i'm not sure if your performing a song...ect, but regardless its still the same thing that you know you know! the people are just there to hear you play it. I just woulnd't worry about it too much man, the more you try the more its going to hard

real musicians use propranolol, which relieves hypertension... but sense you dont have that shit.. should prly just practice a lot in front of people..

try and just forget about the audience being there. you know what your playing, so just treat it like its either just your teacher or your friend watching, then yehh, you should be sweet.
i was lucky when i played at the concert hall this year, the piano was set up so my back was turned slightly towards the audience, and when i was conducting all they could see was my back too, so i didnt have the problem.
good luck for it mate.
