Hey Guys,
Some of you may have known him personally- some of you may not - but just about all of you have been affected by something he was responsable for in the snow sports industry.
Scott Shewchuck has passed away. There aren't many details around his death, he was found in his apartment by his girlfriend Catherine.
Scott was super influential in the action sports world.
He was a carpenter "extraordinaire" and event organizer / planner.
You know him from building such ski / board / skate features like the quarterpipe at Molson Canadian Snowjam, skateparks, and the World Ski and Snowboard Festival - Massiv and W1 events. He also worked very closely with Andrew Singleton on many groundbreaking action sports events.
Scott was in his early thirties. He was loved by everyone who met him....always up for a good time, no matter what time of day. Scott lived above Hustler Sk8 shop in Oakville...everyone knew where to find him...and everyone knew he would be there if they needed something.
He will be dearly missed. For those of you who wish, his sister and girlfriend are hosting a celebration of his life on Sunday Oct 21st at the Firehall on Bronte Rd and Lakeshore in Oakville. It starts at 1pm.
RIP Buddy. Thanks for the good times.
