I was reading on their website that the jacket/pants only come in one size, which is kind of wierd. Does anyone have the pants? How tall are you and how do they fit?Â
I dont have them, but I was skiing yesterday and 1/10 kids had the suit. It fits like an XL but the pants are somewhat narrow. not to harm LDs profits, but just a warning, youll see a shit load of dudes wearing your setup.
I wanna see pics of people wearing this outerwear. I ordered it but haven't gotten it yet. I'm 6'2" and want it to fit baggy, if they fit like XXL sessions, then they should fit nicely, but if the legs are narrow like that one dude above says, that's gonna bite.
Anyone have pics of the outerwear fit that doesn't include the ones on the site?
Ok, I got the package today and for reference, I'm 6'2" about 220 give or take a few pounds:
quality-wise..... I'm still debating... let's just say I'm not THAT impressed. I'm highly contemplating sending it back. My XXL sessions fit me bigger.
can you sinch up the jacket at the hem? and yea, it does look like the pants fit a little narrow. i'll consider buying the suit from you if you want to get rid of it..
Yeah, just for reference, I was NOT sagging or anything, I took the picture wearing the suit AS IS... I'm sure some of you could sag them and sinch up the waist to look better.
Yeah, I mean, evidently it fits "comfortably" on me as the website claimed. But for all you steeze-rats (of which I consider myself a part of), only get this if you're 6' or smaller (hence I'm sending it back). Oh yeah, and the measurements stated on the website are true to size.
Upon closer inspection, it's a sick suit, unfortunately, the "one-size fits all" thing doesn't really accomodate us tall folk. Unfortunately indeed.
I would just like to address a few things brought up
First, to confirm by bias, I am the co-owner Lethal Descent
I would say that xxl tall size comment was fairly accurate, the pants have 5-8in more length than a traditional xxl. The coat is about that much as well.
The pants were designed to worn with a sag, without sag on any pant the crotch looks high (especially next to the coat that is cut tall)
I have worn a lot of outerwear and I wouldn't call the legs "skinny" by any means, but they aren't so wide that they get in the way of your riding (like a certain European company that should remain nameless).
As far as LD crowding the slopes, I don't think that can be judged fairly when there is only one place in the country to ski. Our riders like to ski more than anything in the world, and I'd rather have a few kids with the same outerwear at A-basin riding every day possible than some people who don't want to ride at all with out products. I can confidently say that no company I have heard of is making a more limited product this season than we are.
At Lethal Descent we just really love skiing and that is the bottom line to everything we do. Really good outerwear just enhances the experience, it doesn't make or break the day, but it certainly can't hurt. We'd rather have you happy riding in someone else's outerwear than unhappy riding in ours (though I don't think that scenario is likely)
Anyway, I hope I cleared some of the confusion floating around. If any of you have questions feel free to message me or drop a line at lethal_descent@yahoo.com.
Yeah let me add that the legs are not skinny. It's a baggy fit that can be flared out even more at the bottom with the ghetto slits, which are pretty nifty themselves. I believe they have YKK zippers and when unzipped, there is fabric connecting both sides, unlike some pants, which just have the open gap. It's a controlled baggy fit.
And yes, the inseam is super long. I held the pants up to above my chest and even then the pants slightly touched the ground.
It's quality stuff, it just didn't fit me the way I had hoped it would; and I blame height for that.
