hey I just moved to boston and am a student at Berklee. I moved out from colorado cause I am attending college for the next year here and am certainly going back to colorado after graduation! anyways, what is the scene like at wachusett? mostly park riding I assume....I dont have a car, i read there was a ski train to the hill, anyone know about it??? is this placed mobbed on the weekends? any info about wachusett would be great!
the park isnt that bad. you can get a feel for it if you just look up some of the vids on here. its not going to be anything like the parks out west but its still a fun time.
it does get packed on weekends and like friday and saturday nights but early on the weekends and during the weekdays its pretty dead.
there are a ton of kids on here that ski there too so you wont have a problem finding people in the park, there are alot of joeys that sit in the park too. They also make people get park passes but its not a big deal, i think its 5 bucks and 15 mins.

yeah the park is fun to screw around in. nothing like out west but theres a couple decent sided jumps and some good rails. the park got a lot better last year. um lineskiah11 pritty much hit the nail on the head. very crowded on the weekends. but its the best we got within an hr or so. so i have come to put up with it cause i wouldnt no what to do if i couldnt ski.
Wachusett can be amazing, it all depends on the time of day. Any weekday after 10 and before 3, you will have an almost empty park, no lift lines, and real good conditions. The features can sometimes get a little boring, but if you are creative and have fun with them, you can really progress!! The people who build and maintain the park pretty well and they all have great ides about what they want their park to be like, but Wachusett often limits what they are allowed to do, so you will not be blown away by anything.
wawa is perfect for night riding and days u can't get to VT or NH on the weekends, I just moved up to Boston 2 months ago as well, def goin to have my car once the snow hits.
they groom before the night so you get a fresh park, less skiers, and you don't need to get a park pass unless you look like a gaper. alot of chill kids are always up there so you never have to ski alone, just say hi.
Everyone basically said it already. Its the best park in the area, so Ive grown used to it. Theres a bunch of lil stuff to mess around on which is fun, and its good for being so close. Yes it gets crowded, but Id rather ski in a crowded park than not ski at all.
