**UPDATE ON TEDDY**

well... I don't know the whole story, but Patrick (AKA capurnicus) just confirmed the rumor that teddy has made a break for teh border. I guess he somehow broke into bestbuy at night and stole a couple digicams and some other expensive stuff small in size. When he went to sell them back to some pawn shops, one reported him and the cops are now blaming him for a bunch of other robberies that he didn't commit. The total in stolen goods came to about... $25,000 or something huge like that. Teddy, being the quick thinker that he is, got wind of this from a friend who's parent is a cop and Teddy booked it for Canada before he got served any summons and was told about it. PAtrick said he talked to teddy the other day and Teddy is planning on coming back and turning himself in, but he's hoping that he'll only get in trouble for the shit that he stole, and not hte other burgalaries. Anyways, I send my best wishes out to Teddy in hopes that he can somehow pull through this with minimal trouble, even though he was stupid to steal int he first place. Anyways, if anyone has anymore info on teddy, post it here.

yes he is a minor and the pats are kind of correct. teddy when and ripped the stuff off because he was soo sick of listening to all of the little rich brats on this site that get whatever the fuck they want. he's been dying for a pair of ar5's, tm's, and to go to high north so he stole all that stuff. he almost got away with it too. doesn't seem like teddy but he got soo jealous and pissed off that he did it. he called me yesterday afternoon asking for advice on what to do because he was so scared then called me today with an update. he was going to head for america junior but decided that would only make it worse and being up there wouldn't be worth it. its a shame we won't be hearing from him anytime soon. his parents took his computer and gave it to his little brother. teddy is under house arrest till the whole thing gets sorted out. his parents have grounded his ass indefinately.

wow, thats really f'd up. That is a real immature thing of him to do. BestBuy has so much security, i wouldnt dream of stealing anything from there. Just wait until someone stages a looting attack on them, then run in and grab as much as you can. But to then go and try to sell them at a pawn shop was just retarded. I dont really know this guy, but im guessing it was EastCoastPride. I am really pondering WHY he went and did this? He was a young lad too.

Just because one cant have something right now, doesnt mean one should go out and steal things. As you grow older you will work towards your goals and eventually they will materialize. This is something that i have learned

Yeah its true...look don't say anything about him, he's a really nice kid..its just that well with everything that just mounted up in his life. He just got angry too easy about stuff...and it ended up this way. I'm really gonna miss Teddy this year because I don't think that he'll be coming back to school. His parents are supper suppper pissed.

It's really a shame...

Man, I guess I shouldn't have been telling him so much stuff about digi cams. I guess he really wanted one. He was always posting it in the SRMC how he wanted to get pics taken of him skiing and stuff because he wants to get into a magazine so bad. The SRMC members know what I'm talking about, I guess when he really wants something, he gets it.

^wtf clausen. half these kids are lucky if they can get a part time job making $7 an hour and thats with school, sports, etc. ski set-ups costing around 600 for a decent one and camp costing 1k without plane costs.

If you are making 7 bucks an hour you can save up enough to go to camp and buy skis if thats all you have to pay for. You can easily save a few grand by just working the summer. People stealing stuff from stores just makes everything more expensive for those of us who actually pay for stuff. We are too soft on people who steal stuff. You arent entitled to anything, you have to work for it and earn it...if you steal you should be punished. Just think if he gets convicted of this that goes on his record meaning when he applies for college or a job this is something they can find out. My friend got rejected from schools for much the same reason and a guy I work with got fired for not disclosing his conviction (wasnt even a felony). Congrats on fucking with your whole life cause you wanted to be lazy and not work for something. Think of that before you go and do stupid things guys. What would you guys who are giving him props for this say if you came out of the lodge and your skis were gone? Thats right, it would suck if it was you. And dont say that Best Buy is an evil company and stealing from them is ok. Do you think they dont get that money back by charging more money for the cameras they sell than they would if no body stole stuff? It all comes out of the consumers pocket, that means you. The kid should be thankful this isnt the mid-east and we dont cut his hand off.

I mean, why can't everything be free? it's made form stuff that costs no money (raw materials). why must we give paper to people in order to get simple things we need to live, or certain luxaries like cameras? I'm in support of anyone who steals for this exact reason.

Fuck any of you who say teddy is stupid. Teddy is the man. He's also very intelligent, and a great kid. He simply got caught up in some bad stuff.

Mabye you didn't catch this, but he only stole 700 or so dollars worth of stuff. THe POPO however, is blamming close to 9 other (and larger) robberies on him, even though he didn't commit them.

Sucks he is getting blamed for all the other thefts if he didnt do them. But thats what happens, if they catch you doing it they are gonna assume you have done the other ones too.

Have you ever had anything you worked hard to buy stolen? I have and if I ever found out who it was I sure as hell would press charges. As for everything being free. Would you work for nothing? Would you be the guy pumping out my septic tank or the guy who scrubs toilets? probably not willingly. If people werent getting something for their efforts then society would stop progressing, people would not be motivated to do anything beyond growing food and reproducing...like 50,000 years ago. Nothing in life will be free ever so accept it, go to college or get some marketable skills and then get a job. Make money to be able to afford the things you want, at least at that point you deserve to have them. I work my ass off to be able to afford my cameras, my car, my skis, and everything else in my life, my parents didnt hand me the keys to a BMW or give me a trustfund to become a ski bum off, I earned what I have. I dont care how nice of a kid you are or what if you steal something you are doing something wrong and there is no way to justify it.

Sounds like a pretty stupid mistake, but Teddy has my support. I think he should go to the cops and fess up to the $700 he stole. It's less than $5000 so it's not a indictiable crime. The other $25k he is charged with stealing shouldn't stand due to lack of evidnece (if he didn't do it, how can they prove it in court?). It'll suck that he'll have a record, but at least he's a minor and he'll have a clean record when he's 18.
This is how things would work in 'America Jr.' I don't image that US would be that different.

Also, Best Buy likely has theft insurace so they don't lost anything, and insurance companies are robbing people blind anyway, so I feel it's okay to steal from them.

well, all i can say is i have a really sweet camera and it's really really expensive and my parents bought it for me along with my 2oo4 rossi scratchs and stuff... a vx2000 but i don't know how to use it yet. apparently it's good though. sucks that nobody else does.

ok i see where this guy is coming from and i don't have a problem with it, hell everyone here has mp3's right? well whoever is bashing this guy is a fucking hypocrite, i have no problem ripping off big companies beacuse they price shit way to high, music for example, a cd in canada can cost up to 30$ (for example most punk cd's are fucking expensive) well guess what i can't afford 30$ a cd, when i listen to many bands i just can't do it, so i use the alternate and burn the cd's (i still support bands by going ot their shows and buying merch)

but you know its the same thing movies cost like 14$ here in ottawa at silvercity, oc transpo charges 2.50 per ride im fucking sick of paying that so i hop the back every time i ride the 95,

well same goes for cameras, do you think someone (like myself) who is going to university can afford a 2000$ camera hell no, but the thing is we know that the camera is not worth even close to that, the amount of money it costs to manufacture it and all the labour etc... stores can afford to sell it for 1/3 the price and they would still make money,

all that said, i see no problem with rippin goff big companies, but iw ould never steal from an actual person or independent business (for example camera shops that aren't chain stores etc...) and stealing from people is lame, i hate it also if something of mine is stolen, and the people who do that deserve to get there ass kicked,

anywyas the only question remaining in my mind is how did he get passed the security did he just go in and run like hell?

How can you give props and say its not his fault. He walked into a shop and lifted a camera. It wasnt a 'mistake' that he got 'cought up in'. Even if he has nothing to do with the other thefts...he still stole the one camera and brought it on himself. Hope he gets off the other charges but he should still be punished for what he did.

i feel bad for him, but Clausen is right, if you want something work your ass off and do it the hard way, i worked like 6 days a week this year and quit baseball, making minumium wage at both jobs and then gettin a raise to be making $7.50 at one job because i worked my ass off, i have plenty of money to now buy a digi camera, ski setup, clothes, accesories, food on the mountain and then a bunch for when i have to pay for car insurance, and i can take the ski season and just ski with no work, so just work your ass off and you get the shit you need, other than that i feel bad for teddy that sucks
