I believe it's the singer for the Brit rock band Blur, along w Del the funky homosapien as the rapper, not sure about the rest of the group.

first album produced by dan teh automator, second one produced by danger mouse. both have the dude from blur. then other are random i think. like del was in a couple tracks on the first album. there were a couple artists on the 2nd album, one being mf doom

apparently at their live shows, they have a screen set up with animation for the songs, and the band is behind the screen. you can see their sillouettes behind the screen but not their faces or anything

they did a performance once and each of them were made into holograms so they were still cartoons but they look real

ya i had a feeling del the funky homosapien was in gorillaz, after getting deltron 3030 i kinda recognized his voice from clint eastwood
