thats touhg to say because u can make any ski into pow ski depending on how u mount it. also, its purely opinionated based on experience. but id say 4frnt stl
I get so sick of these best skis/ best boots threads! It is all preference. I personally like My Head Mad Trix 181 because they are stiff and long. Other people might like something shorter and softer.
Whatever you can get cheapest. I really don't care how my park skis ride, as long as the length and flex is about right. K2 Silencers just now because I got them ex-demo ridiculously cheap.
Exactly what I came in here to say, except they didn't make a 181. Lengths were 168, 174 and 180. But close enough. Oh and not quite the original; you want the rubbery topsheet, not the glossy, which tended to chip.
fugitives, PEs, invaders, spk, trouble makers.....ar6, thall's so many to chose from its all in the person riding them.... id say 179 fugitives center mounted was my favorite choice, i went from chronics to the fugitives and i felt like a new person...such a fun ski
But seriously, people have personal preferences. Some like soft skis, others like stiff ones. Some like fat skis, others like skinny skis. Some may like rockered ones, others cambered.
There is no such thing as a perfect park ski. But that thing up there comes pretty close.
shaped wood core ( none of that non shaped flimsy shit they make cores out of), with a full aluminum edge( not just a little edege, like a connections on both side so the edge does not rip out), teflon base, thread incerts for bindings, in a 180 to 185, with a 90 middle, and a 20 sidecut. Centre mounted, symetrical ski. Mid stiff, nothing too soft, but enough so i can butter.
funny, every single person i knew that skied last years moments broke them(including of their riders), and i will bet money that you haven't skied this years. i cant see why you would think it valid to claim that they are the BEST park skis ever. or that they "ski sick".
someone speak up if they've ridden the new ones, but last years moments weren't the best park skis ever made.
the urban punx is the same ski only you dont get 3 skis... if you liked lastyears triplet your gonna love the urban punx... i was rode them all last season and there sooo buttery
yeah, its a lighter softer metal then what edges are right now. So you hit a rail, and you don't die. You could even make a one piece edge that is connected through both sides of the ski so that the edge does not rip out.
your edges would be FUCKED if you did rails on aluminum edges. aluminum is soft as shit, you'll be taking chunks out of your edges by grinding on steel rails, why do you think rails aren't aluminum? and just kill yourself, a full edge under your ski would kill your flex and be heavy as shit
yeah, what kind of park are you doing, big air rails, slopestyle, or everything. and if you ski in Jersey you need a skinny ski, because we got wet snow.
