Poor Boyz Productions’ “Yeah Dude” and “Idea” come to Colorado
BOULDER—Two movies, two locations, double the fun.
On Thursday, Sept. 27, Poor Boyz Productions’ “Yeah Dude” and “IDEA” are set to premiere at the Boulder Theater, located on 2032 14th Street. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show beginning at 8. Numerous athletes including Peter Olenick, John Spriggs and Matt Walker will be on hand signing posters and throwing out tons of gear.
Tickets are $12 the day of the show, and $11 in advance on http://bouldertheater.com/event_detail.php?id=715 .
After hitting Boulder, the two flicks are rolling into the Crested Butte Center for the Arts on Saturday, Oct. 6. Tickets are $8 in advance at Colorado Freeskier ski shop, and $10 at the door.
“Yeah Dude” chronicles the seasons of some of the ski world’s top pros—Chris Benchetler, Anthony Boronowski, Sammy Carlson, Tim Dutschi, Andreas Hatveit, Olenick, Spriggs and Walker, to name a few—as they travel the globe from hitting urban in Nebraska to ripping lines in Alaska. Rider accounts of the winter add an intimate flavor to the film as well, allowing viewers to get a glimpse into their lives.
“IDEA” is the concept of professional skiers Pep Fujas, Andy Mahre, Eric Pollard and director Eric Iberg. As some of freeskiing’s innovators, they have created a different kind of movie, documenting their individual viewpoints on skiing. With a mellow soundtrack and endless powder, “IDEA” brings nice contrast to the typical ski movie.
Don’t miss out on a chance to see two of the year’s top ski flicks in one sitting.
