If you want to shop, don't go to Yonge Street, there's nothing there except the Eaton Centre. You can get a mall anywhere. Do go to Yonge Street just to check it out. Nathan Phillips square is pretty nuts during the summer. Go to Queen West between University and Bathurst for some dope clothing shops. There's all types of different places there no matter your style. The Oakley store is there too if you want to check that out. "DaZone" is pretty dope for sneakers and "So Hip It Hurts" is a pretty cool skate shop. Lots of great restaurants in this area too if you don't want to spend a ton. I like Epicure cafe a lot if you're looking for some beers and good food. Head down to Nomad/Goodfood/Ransom at Queen & Richmond if you're looking for some dope (and expensive) street wear.
Bloor Street & Yorkville is where you'll find the higher end clothing shops and boutiques. If you're looking for streetwear, head to TNT Blu in the Hazelton Lanes mall. Holt Renfrew on Bloor is a big higher-end department store. Nothing compared to Sak's or Nord in NYC but worth a look.
Go to Kenzington Market if you really want to see a dope part of Toronto. Lots of crazy, eclectic people and cool market shops. Head over to Roach-A-Rama if you want to smoke a joint legally. They don't sell, bring your own and smoke in the back. Places here can be pretty lax and don't really ID if you guys are 18 or so and want to get a beer. That's what I've heard anyway. You can get dope empanadas from El Gordo (cheap).
What's you're scene? There are a ton of different places in Toronto for whatever you want to do.
queen street is the obvious choice for shopping, its got basically everything you could want. Bloor is pretty cool too, though very high roller, and yeah, do burrito boyz for lunch, it friggin rules
