I'd imagine there's not enough paid advertising yet. So instead of having a blank space at the side of the page, there's a filler banner that's been wasting away my morning.

yeah, i saw the contest, but he's wondering why your banner and the pong banner are up instead of advertising since people already know this is newschoolers.com. I was just saying that there's probably not enough outside advertising yet so NS held the contest to fill the space.
