Right ski length

im about 5'11 and i am deciding between a 177 and a 181.. what do you think i should get?

 i ski park mostly but i also ski alot of tight eastcoast glades and i want the ski short enough to carve

i'd say it all depends on which ski you are thinking of getting. skis ride differently and some feel like more ski then others of the same length, ya know? at your height (and you're not going to be rippin big lines) you really could go either way... i say demo some skis of different lengths before you pick your size. but if you don't have time to demo before you buy then get the bigger size. I ski steep tight trees all day everyday and i'm 6' on a pair that are 189 and I can handle it fine.

you could probably do 177, its all preference though. if you want a little smaller ski then go for it. if not you could go big with the 181
