Backpack help

Ok so I need a backpack that isn't big, is somewhere around $40 , and will be used for mostly school but occasionally skiing/biking, so it needs that strap that goes around your waist (i don't know how its called). What are some good companies I should be looking at?

Yeah, Dakine. Or The North Face. I got a really nice pack with ski straps that I've used for school before for 50$.

My cuz has a backpack like that and it's pretty cool. It might not be the same one, but if you take it off you can unzip the back panel and it holds mad camera gear. Really sick. If you are gonna get a pack like that though find one that is made to carry skis.
