Help me pick some gear!

I'm working all summer, and need to choose some gear. I live in the PNW and ski crystal mostly. Mostly High Campbell, Backcountry, that type of stuff.

SKIS:
-I don't really need twin tips, but they're a plus.
-I need light, versatile skis for PWN pow and the occasional groomer.
-No longer than 189cm, no shorter than 174.
-No particular brand bias.
-Budget: Its summer, so there should be some pretty reasonably priced models from last year for under $500.

BOOTS:
-I want them to fit like a second skin.
-No more than $500.
-Tourability is a huge bonus.

he's also looking at touring bindings, so he may want something with more width, maybe?

I agree with 188 jp vs juliens

Boots- go and try them on. We cant reccomend boots online, because everyone's foot is different.

another one on my vote but for touring boots...good luck finding some nice ones for under 500$ or at least in canada...i dunno bout american touring prices.

for skis, id say go with the seth. but i dunno if it would be a little too soft. i dunno i still recommend that.

and boots, you have to just go somewhere and try em on. a $500 boot could be what fits good on me. and a $200 boot could feel like heaven to you...just gotta try em on man.

188 jps are great for touring as they're super light and they're great skis anyway.

OR... 186 ehps? they're made specifically for touring ang you know they're gonna be sick...

get 4frnt.  go with the 187 msp for all around ownage, the 186 ehp for total bc domination, or the 189 vct if you want a softer bc player.  mount them up with some of those new marker dukes so you can tour.  and for boots check out the spk for a wider foot or the krypton rampage for a narrower foot.

Light as can be. Versatile, perfect for any condition.

Or you can try Rossignol Scratch BC WRS 07. Light, floaty in pow, shred anywhere
