i dont believe in god...but i think jesus was a good guy who said and taught some very valuable things. and if we listened to what he says about loving and respecting each other, i think we could all live better.


but that doesnt mean hes the "son of god"

no, it said that there were multiple people with similar characteristics as jesus such as the same number of disciples, similar birth dates, etcetera.. not that they were all literally jesus.  he was trying to get to the point that Christianity was "plagiarized" from other religions, especially Egyption mythology.

well, that's not completely true. you have freedom from all that religious bullshit if you don't.  in my opinion, religion was created by the elite to control people.

Christianity and many other faiths actually have their roots of creation with the poor and disadvantaged. Its not an institution of the elite, or at least wasnt created to be so.

They found Jesus tomb in at a construction site. There was a big special on it. So what does finding Jesus's tomb prove. Well several things

1) He was never resurrected. Much more likely his followers collected his body and brought it to his family burial tomb as was custom in this time.

2) The name on the tomb was "Jesus of Nazarus son of Joseph". Testing proved that in fact his genetics were that of two of the people in the tomb. There was no god DNA found.

3) In his time the story of Jesus was not very well know and there were several prophets walking around at the same time as Jesus.

Ok all you bible thumpers think about this. In 500 years someone stumbles about the story of David Blain and decides to write a book on his deeds. This story gets tweaked and changed until it becomes a religion. Same shit as Jesus.

Let people believe whatever they want. Unless you can scientifically prove otherwise. So for example when some ass hole interrupts my breakfast to bother me for 20 mins and then proceed to give me a pamphlet on intelligent design.

Or when some ass hole builds a "museum" that shows dinosaurs interacting with humans.

Or worse yet when a bunch of bastards invent a religion on what they thought was the ocean but turned out to be a big lake and ruin a good skiing state.

Or a science fiction writer making every celebrity with low self esteem insane.

Or the mass murder of an entire race of people.

Or anything else. The crusades, jihad whatever fuck religion.

side note, the same episode contains the cartoon image of the islam prophet muhammed. but then when the controversy of the danish newspaper started, comedy central wouldnt put muhammed in the 2 part episode cartoon wars.

Thankyou, thats why I hate the stereotype put on christians, like being strick and forcing people to beleive... no offense to annyone, but I think what catholics have don in the past has screwed over christianity. (crusades etc...)
