this message is intended for people over 21 years of age only. . . Does anyone else here drink nearly every day? if not every day? Or am I just a raging alcoholic. Cause most of my friends do the same, so its not like I'm doing it alone(though sometimes thats how it ends up)

If you find yourself drinking by yourself and you consume more than a beer or two (and these have to be like casual.. while watching TV, with dinner, whatever. slowly drank) in an hour.. you might have a drinking problem.

If you feel like you could potentially have a problem, just give it up for like a month and see where you are at then. Or just limit yourself to one a day unless it's like a dope ass party with tons of chicks and that kind of stuff.

I don't know what else to say..

i take a one day break per week, where i just drink water and tea. makes me feel pretty good.

on the other hand, i do have a minor drinking problem, but it's under far better control than it was in the past.

i generally drink 5 times a week getting shit faced. Its kinda bad. I did some medical stuff and apparently with the amounts i drink those nights i drink more than 95% of the male population between the ages of 19 and 25. Its kinda fucked. I drink less in the winter though cuz skiing is more worth it then trying to get laid.

it would depend on the circumstances surrounding the drinking, i would think. for instance, if you drink during times when it would not adversely affect the rest of your life, i personally couldnt see that as a problem. if you need to drink to "cope" or you drink when you are at work, or you drink to get through class, or you drink to be able to feel good about yourself, then sure, you may have a problem. people say they have a drinking problem, or that they are alcoholics, but the true alcoholic is something so full of despair and sadness to me that i can't see how calling yourself that would be something to take lightly. if you (or those close to you) honestly think you may have a problem, talk to someone who is qualified to help. this could be a therapist or a doctor or a religious leader, or a member of a program. if not, enjoy life and be glad that you have the time to enjoy a drink or a few. those days dont last forever.

Personally im going to answer your question and not try and solve your life etc, i drink 3-5 days a week, get drunk drunk on average once or twice a week, but that is an average of some weeks nothing and others repeated nights

I'm under 21, and i drink 4-7 times a week (summer, yeah) it always ranges from 1-2 beers to 10-15+ compeletly wasted of my ass. It all depends. But I usually find myself have a beer every day lately.

if i have beer, i usually drink about 2-3 a night, on the weekends though it could be anywhere from 2 beers to 24 a night, i get drunk probably 2 or 3 times a week

i drink beer almost every day, but don't get drunk. just 3-4 beers with friends. But weekends i drink a lot more beer, but recently i don't drink concentrated alcohole, bad for the health to drink to much

Living alone i drink by myself quite a bit but i dont think it is a problem or anything, thats just whats in my fridge all the time so thats what i drink.

yea it is close to almost everyday. i work a high stress job and it calms me down when i get home. i probably do have a drinking problem but it is not that bad. i mean i don't wake up in the morning wanting to drink and i don't get the shakes if i do drink. also if i do drink everyday of the week i don't get shit faced i only have a few to 6 beers....

soo i´m not 21 but from germany we have drinking age 16 for beer and 18 for other stuff...

i think you have a big problem.. analyse your behaviour... why do you drink?? do you really need alcohol to enjoy the time with your buddys? or is it sth you want to hide or forget about when you drink? how is it with girls? do you need alcohol to have the bravery to talk to them..? don´t you ever go out without drinking? or really have nobody in your circle of friends who does that..?

man you have a serious problem, do something!


ps: i used to have a sort of drinking problem, got caught by the police and did some rehab, so i know what i´m talking about

you've got some deep rooted issues bud.

i might have a total of 6 beers in a week if there's no partying and it's pretty much limited to weekends or going out after work with buddies. hell it's the summer and there's nothing i like more than a beer on the patio.

i don't know how people drink alone while watching tv. i used to do it but i just lost interest in it. during the week i'll normally stick to bottled water.

im 17 so apprently im not human yet.. i dont drink cuz its bad for u. buttt my mom is a achoholic anddrinks every night. she drinks at least 2 bottles of wine every night. if u do drink evbery night wach urself and how u react cuz it does effect ur personlaity over the years. jsut a warning cuz i know what its leik to live with a achopholic... shitty

Weed physically might be better for you but in my opinion weed is worse mentally.

My brain feels slow and its hard to concentrate. Plus I really feel sick if I smoke weed.

Alright, I'm not nesessarily going to change anything, i'm just curious what everyone else thinks/does. It appears that about 75% of the people think I have a problem, and 25% of the people are just the same as me. My situation is I moved back to my parents house for the summer, and some of my really good friends got a house. They dont have internet or tv yet, but we have ping pong table, horseshoes, darts, cards, jenga (w00t), and other stuff. All of which are very fun to drink with. I usually don't start drinking until about 10 at night. But I do have an average of about 6 beers, and uncountable amounts on certain nights. I dont drink to get away from anything(except my parents I guess? but everyone who has moved back in with their parents knows what I'm talking about).

sounds straight. plus jenga is sick, i played it just the other night, every move we added a shot of bacardi into a cup and whoever knocked it over has to drink up. after a few rounds we ended up just playing some N64 cause some people were knocking it over after one move
