It definitely can't hurt... it's probably more useful in helping you improve your style than improving technique, but seeing it from the third person view can definitely help you understand what you're doing wrong to a greater extent.
it can help if your doing with someone else so you can get like a scond opinion, but in my opinion i don't like watching my self cause i always see the things i do bad and get discouraged/pissed. but if you get a really sick shot on film thats flawless you can deffinatly learn from it and stuff
jea. i sometimes ask people to film me when trying something new or try to get something better, just cuz i know what i need to do, but have problems putting it to action, so i watch my faults and correct them. it helps
