Indoor Snow Dome to Open in Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (Thursday, September 5, 2002) - Snow Creation International (SCI) has been granted a special use permit by Las Vegas, Nevada officials to create 'SnowLab', the first indoor ski and snowboarding facility in the U.S. Nevada’s Clark County planning commission and local town council unanimously approved the development of the facility. This special permit will allow SCI to move forward with its plans to open the first indoor snow facility in the United States in late 2003.
SnowLab will be one of the largest indoor snow facilities in the world, with over 200,000 sq. ft. of snow-covered area. The slope, over 1,100 feet long, will consist of a regulation size Super Pipe and SlopeStyle course. The slope also has a beginner area set aside for people just learning how to ski or snowboard. The facility will boast an extensive interactive video system that captures and replays all the action from the slope throughout the facility. Adjacent to an interactive café/restaurant there will also be an additional 3,000 square foot slopeside balcony where guests can view the action.
'Our focused development approach and operational expertise is allowing us to deliver a world class facility for a fraction of the price of similar facilities that have already been developed in other countries', commented Mark Vlassopulos, co-founder of the new Las Vegas based SnowLab.

SnowLab promises to revolutionize snow sports with careful attention to planning and detail. SCI’s Snowlab will soon fuse the fastest growing sport in the US, snowboarding, with the fastest growing US city, Las Vegas, Nevada. Future US sites for SnowLab include Atlanta, slated to open in late 2004.
