hey guys, i'm looking at some new park sticks. ridden park for 2 years. i'm 5'9" and still growing i think, 14 years old almost 15. around 140 lbs. is a 176 cm too big for me, i found a sick deal at a local store, but they only have the 176. any suggestions? 90% park, 10% other by the way. center mount
you will be fine. I am 5 7" and don't rock anything under a 176. Don't let this long ski argument scare you, it will help you in the long run with your turns and ski awareness, if this were the nineties you would be on at least a 190. get 'em and charge on 'em.
yeah, 176 center mted wwill be perfect, i just jumped from a 177 to 182 and can barley notie the diff, a couple centemeters on the nose and a couple on the tail doesnt make much of a diff, but at the same time will really help you get better ski control
I think everyone's missing what matters... skis can't feel your length, only your weight... but for 140 you'll be fine anyway so I guess this post is superfluous.. best of luck young new schooler
I'm 5' 3'' and probly about 115 pounds and I ride 171 AR6s and I can handle them fine. Its a little weird at first but you wont regret it. If you centermount all the better because then they wont seem long at all. I've actually skied my friends 174s for a day and kinda wished I went a size up.
