Get one of those all-in-one remotes. I've got one that does my TV, VCR, DVD, cable and stereo. It does most of the major functions, but it doesn't have slo-mo buttons for my DVD player, so I still use that remote sometimes. You can get ones with programmable buttons though.

yea, one of mine has all of the things in one, but then we have the original remotes for everything else too.

we just have one...the DVD remote. we lost the tv remote, we dont have satelite or cable, and our VCR doesnt have a remote
