Blue ray disk?

what the hell is it? i see it out now with the dvds and i have no clue as to what it is or how to use it.
anyone know or use them?

yeah, apparently you use them like dvds except the only movies released are the ones produced by sony or something... also... the players are really expensive. The PS3 can play them though. I wouldn't spend my money on it; it's probably going to be like the new Beta.

its a high definition disc format. It is very similar to a regular dvd except the laser that reads the disc is smaller. The format was created by sony. It competes with the HD-DVD format which is very similar.

It like when VHS came out, there was another thing competing with it, i forget the name, but we all know VHS one, frankly we are going to wait to see who wins. Personally i think HD-DVD will win just because of price, Blue ray players other than the PS3 are 1000+
