Ever since I first saw them, I wanted to buy the 172 blends, and now that prices have dropped they seem even more inviting, but I was wondering, are there any much better skis for me to buy. I mostly ski east coast, pennsylvania area, and I ride about 60/40 all mtn/park but I also plan on going out west next winter. The blends are durable enough for me, but any input on better choices for me would be great
It would be easier to ski if it snowed in Maryland!
dude no joke they would be a great choice for you. iv demoed almost all of lines skis and i can tell you its what you want. its not too wide for your east coast and its guna be so perfect when you go out west cuz your wide enough to float. so really if youve really liked them since you saw em dont consider another ski go and get them cuz theyre really a choice that you wont regret. they gottt maaaaad pop by the way and really have nice edges and a flex that isnt too stiff for park and soft for all mountain. its on the stiffer side tho but you ride 60% all mountain so really you need a stiff especially on east coast ice.
I just got a pair a while ago and I'm alot like you. I'm 5'6 and 140pounds and I ski a bit more mtn than park. I took them out on a 7 day straigh skiing trip and they never held back for me. On powder I floated really well, and was able to sick a bunch of cliff drops (10-15 footer at the biggest). They also were awesome in park and pipe. With the fatty edge I wasn't too afraid to start heshing some rails. go with them.
porterstahoe.com i think... they have a 30% off sale and meatloaf for a promo code will get u an extra 15% ya the blends are a very sick ski but you might wanna get the 179 thell be big for a while but once u get used to em youll love the bigger size
