the snow here (cinci) is really coming down and i gonna build up some takeoffs for my backyard rails. only problem is that its like 10 degrees outside so the snow is not packy at all. what should i do to get the ramps to hold together?
i in cinci too man!!! 5-6 inches expected by midnight... head to perfect north for a midwest pow day man... screw the backyard... hit up perfects or head to the streets for urban!!!
well the whole point of salt is it lowers the freezing point of water by dissolving into it then it re freezes making a thin layer of ice. so water and salt would be kinda pointless.best way to make take offs is to either build em outta dirt or ifs its too cold which it is prop up a peice of plywood or somethin like that then have a lil snow on top. making jumps all out snow is a waste of time and snow even if it packs well
using water can make your takeoff a pure ice block so here is what i do to limit the amount of water you put on your jump....take a spray bottle and just use accordingly and i have found it applies the water just as well over a larger area
i had the same problem last week. i just made a pile, packed the shit out of it. carved. packed. carved.
good packing methods are bouncing on it with your skis, or humping (no joke, just lay on your back and go nuts)
