I have 05 public enemys 169cm. The are good skis, but they seem too heavy and aren't center mounted. Are the AR's lighter? Would I notice a huge differene with center mounted ar6's. Does anyone have opinions about them?
well i have the AR5s and have skied on the PEs. And your right, they are much heavier than than the Ar5s and the AR6s are even lighter than the AR5s. They are are also softer. PEs are for super aggressive skiers while AR6s are for super smooth skiers...which are uuuuu
i have the 181 AR6's and LOVE them. im riding them with the salomon z12 Ti bindings and they're still light as fuck. i cant say enough good things about armada
The AR6's are dope if you plan on skiing all mountain mount them at the reccomended point but if your skiing mostly park mount them -2 from true thats what i did
i had 05 PEs and wanted a lighter ski, got ar6s and love 'em. nuff said go buy them. not sure how big you are (didn't really read much of the thread, sorry if you said already) but I'm 175 lbs and ride the 181s 2 cm back from center and they rock.
hmmm.. i must not have been paying attention at all! I could have sworn. wait....... hahahahahahahaaaaaa the graphic is reversed on the tip and tail for a left and right ski I assume..
Wellllll the Pipe Cleaners are pretty bawlin but cost a lil more i happen to own the ar6 and they are a great ski very veristile good flex everythign you want
Yea, thalls and ar6s are identical, only difference is the cores. one has the ar1 and one has the ar2 core (I think that's what they're called) Basically the thall has one strip of denser wood in the core and ar6 has two strips of the denser wood so they are a smidge heavier and stiffer. at least that's what I got, if you go on armada's site they have a pretty clear explanation of the two cores but I haven't looked at it in a while so I might've forgot exactly how it went.
