Getting Into Skiing

Hey. I used to snowboard. I wanted to get into skiing. I was looking at Line Jr. Invaders, 153cm. I was wondering about a good, cheap binding, and a good, cheap boot that would be perfect for a beginner skiier. I don't want anything really expensive or used. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Also, what is the DIN on bindings, is it the higher the DIN the less likely the bindings will release the boots? Thanks.

Invaders are so light and easy to ski, even if your 5', you shouldn't get anything lower then 171's.

I wanted to get skis that are really easy to rotate and flick around. Thats why I was looking at the 153s.

dude, i would go longer anyway.
if you went that short you would regret it.

well. whats a good height. i don't want to go anywhere above 171. Between my chin and nose is 160 -167 cm. i was looking at somewhere in there also.

so i guess that about anywhere from like 163 to 167 should work for me.

Skis are the same as a snowboard. Longer is more stable,a dn give you better balance. Your 3 inches taller than me. I ride 176. Just centre mount, and the feel alot shorter. I would advise 171 invaders, at least. Invaders are soft, and feel shorter than most skis. As for bindings, look around NS. You could snag some PX12 from some SAC flippers for about 80$ Boots- whatever fits.
