Listen up kids. My giving father has offered to take me and the fam to any resort in North America this Christmas. Cash money.
I live in Wisconsin, so I never really get to experience great skiing like people on the west coast (or east coast for that matter...i know its not GREAT but its better than WI)
So my question to you, NS, is which resort should i go to. Keep in mind that I have been to Whistler for COC, and Keystone in late spring, so i have NEVER...i repeat never...skiied fresh gnar gnar pow. that is waht i would like to do on this coming trip mostly, but i would also like to hit up some pipe/park while on this trip too. Mostly pow though
My dad, brothers, mom friend and I are going. Everyone in my family can ski, so no worries there
this is what i did 2 years ago...i stayed in salt lake city, rented a car with my friend and dad and its only a 30 minutes drive to almost every resort...just make sure you get a car thats got 4x4 cause if you dont and freshies came the night before you got to put chains on your wheels and it looked like it took forever....deff hit up alta for pow and or solitude, and for park PC would be a good idea...good luck
Big Sky doesn't have shit for snow right now, and their powder skiing usually isn't that great anyway because of the exposure. My favorite mountain to go to is Jackson Hole because even if it isn't a powder day the terrain is second to none and there's a riduculously huge amount of backcountry around there (and Targhee is close and gets even more snow).
and don't go to Mammoth. Fucking crowded. Hit up Squaw.

if you are into freesking more than anything and just want some sick park shit, go no further than park city utah. if you like all mountain shreding with not too bad of a park Snowbird, Utah is where it is at. If you just like big mountin and great snow and terrain Alta, Utah is where it is at. But the great thing is they are all right outside of Salt Lake City Utah. So my advice is so ski all of those
utah is good because you will have good chances with the wide range of resorts, plus lots of different stuff at the different resorts, park ity for pipe, alta/snowbirds got some gnar terrain, birghton is kinda nice. so yeah i would come to utah
if you love snowbird or alta then then message me and join the cult
If you seriously wanna ski pow when the snow comes some more we just got this thing called the stash which is basiclay un groomed log jibs tree stalls cliff drops road gaps and all this crazy shit plus the park there is dope and they have look out mountain for way fun powder cus theres tons of cliffs and shit back there and plus its close to alot of other resorts if you get bored

exactly. Seriously. You will be stupid to pick anything else. Seriously, it's gotten pounded and if you are looking for pow, go here. It's not that expensive either. Just skiing, no gay villages and touristy stuff(for the most part).
If you can't make it to mt baker try interior bc and alberta. Try red mountain, kicking horse, apex mtn, big white. def try castle mountain. it has pretty cheap, close lodging. Check out the sbc skier resort guide. It's the best resort guide i've ever laid eyes on.
Utah is always good, but since you aren't paying for it, go somewhere more expensive. I don't know what kind of a year montanas having but big sky/moonlight basin is good, same with bridger bowl.
i cant take him[liam downey] seriously cuz his name reminds me of that downy bear from back when i was a kid -d loc
I don't deny there are bad things in the US right now, hell, 51% of the country to be exact. But god damnit, our country being fat is NOT a problem. I do't give a shit how fat people are. hell, fat kids are harder to kidnap, that means our country is safer.
I would do Mt Baker. Stay in Bellingham and drive up, its a hour or so but completely worth it. Trying to plan a vacation so you get powder is going to be difficult though... I mean, we just got rained on this weekend in the Cascades. Anywhere you could go might turn shitty a day before you get there. I'd just choose Baker, its a smaller resort, less people, more BC, and CHEAP compared to Whistler. And if you have a park craving, drive to Snoqualmie Pass one day, its pretty close and have a night-lit superpipe, as well as a 5 star park.
if your family is full of good skiers, i would say Jackson, thats where my mom lived for a while and my family goes for 3 weeks every years, sooo much fun, inbounds and Bc and amazing, but if some people in your family are a little iffy on the slopes, hit up UT, you'll get the most diversity in the slopes, and are bound to ski some fresh tracks
