depends on how confident and proficient you are at it. to start i suggest getting on the rail a little more than perpendicular (just a little, so your tips are kinda pointing back at the in run) and as you fall off the rail spot your landing and it will come around. depending on how far the landing is from the rail you might need to load with your arms and/or pop off the end of the rail
dont set your spin before you get on the rail. get on like you would normally slide a rail and towards the end stagger your feet correctly so it starts your spin. dont get into the habit of setting your rotation from the lip (although you can still do this on small rails)
when you get on the rail, make your shoulders parallel with the rail. point your head at your back foot. then when you are nearing the end of the rail, jump and spin your shoulders in the right direction. keep looking over your shoulder and pull it around, its very easy.
