OK I know there are more threads about this but I looked and couldnt find anybody who fit the description. Im right handed spin right with left foot forward on rails. Is anybody else like that? Im starting to think I have been spinning unnatural this whole time.
YES
i know what you mean like my first year skiing i was griding left foot forward but then i switched and same with my spin even on jumps but that changed when i threw a 3 on a decent sized table and scared teh shit out of me cus it was an unatty spin and the first 3 i had landed lol..
but yeah when i spin on/off boxes i spin right idunno why but if i im spinning onto the box i spin left i have no idea sometimes i dont know which way to spin so i jsut do what ever feels comfortable at the moment. I think its just like a fear factor of spinning and having to look over ur shoulder compared to being able to see what your spinning or osemthing i dont even know
im left side spinner right foot forward...yeah it sucks if i want to land natural i have to spin unnat, vice versa...it sucks but forces u to learn to spin unnat and slide unnat
I had that exact same problem, i always spin left, and after an entire day of bailing on a box, i decided to spin right onto it and go left foot forward, and I got it on the first try. my friend has the same thing, only with spinning switch. He spins right, but when spinning switch he goes left, anyone else do that too?
just do wat feels correct
try it both ways
which ever feels better is ur "natural" way obv.
but try and get both ways equal it will help alot and make u a more well rounded skier
I first tried hard spinning to the left because everyone spun that way and I was told it's meant to be natural, even though I was looking sketchy. Then when I was trying to switch it up one day i felt way more comfortable spinning to the right. Also I slide right foot forward.
