i just got a macbook for christmas and have been figuring out the mac software all day(switched from windows), but i cant figure out what i am supposed to use for word processing, anyone know? it is os tiger if that helps
yup perfectly legal,, its a more mac specific form of open office which is very well known for the PC, you can get open office for mac, but neooffice is a bit nicer and is actually just a more mac specific port of open office... heres a link: http://www.neooffice.org/
Microsoft office is actually, honestly, better on Mac than it is on Windows. Powerpoint, however, is put to shame by Keynote, so I recommend you get both MS Office and the iWork suite. Done. I've solved 99% of your productivity problems.
