All it means is you need a decent graphics card to run final cut

AGP is the type of port that AGP graphics card are pt into. There is also PCI and PCI-E. AGP is second best of the three, and the most common.

PCI-Express is most common now. At least in the high end cards.

Yep. For high end. For medium range, and most computers built for regular use, have an AGP.

if you pop open your computer, you will see the sound card, video card etc. most of these are in long white ports (PCI), but the AGP bus is the smaller black one. this is for high end graphics cards, although it is already starting to become outdated. I wouldn't recommend getting any type of PC mod if you're not comfortable rearranging your computer, let alone a graphics card. but if you do, make sure you have unused power supply cables, and that your motherboard actually has an AGP slot.

ok . . . so basically i had the same problem, you dont need to buy a new chip or anything dont stress!
SO when you have final cut pro on your desktop as just an icon crtl click on the icon. Got to "Show Package Contents".
in that folder click "Contents".
There will be a document called "info.plist"
crtl click "info.plist" open with TEXT EDIT!!!
from here everything seem complicated but its easy, about 15 line it says : AGP change AGP so it says PCI, save the file and your good to go!!!
if this doesnt help lemme know
