Anybody who has ever followed Baseball, or any other sport for that matter
There has been a disturbing trend in this offseason, downright fucking ridiculous.
.500 pitchers are getting 10+ million a season, Meche signed for 5 year 55 fucking million dollars. Lily, 4 years 40 million in chicago.
Jesus christ, what is going on in sports?
baseball has the most fucked up system of salary, its complete bullshit, its a miracle that teams like the royals and brewers still exist, no one follows them how do they get money. that shit needs to get straighted out arod and jeter dont deserve half the shit they get
Ya baseball players make so much money.
I don't follow baseball, but aren't they lefties? In my opinion it obviously doesn't warrant 10 mil a year, but I think that has something to do with it.
i dont think that warrants ten million in anyones mind but the pitchers in question
yeah ... just wait til zito signs... hes good... but not 100mil worth it
No they didnt damnit, he signed with Milwaukee i think
nah... meche signed with royals
Pitchers are starting to get more money, because the fact is, good pitching will outdo good hitting anyday. That's why if you fail 7 out of ten times (.300 avg) you're considered a good hitter. Last time I checked, the least amount you could make in the big leagues is $375,000!
A pitcher only plays about 20% of the games, yes pitching is important but 10 mil on a mid rotation starter is ridiculous.
