risers are for racing and edge control. Not for freestyle. They simply add weight.

risers just allow you to lean over on a turn more without cathin your boot or somethin and they give you more leverage on your edges big time. that why snowlerbladers can lean over like mother fuckers cuz their bindings put them up so high.
